SCOTSMAN INDUSTRIES DONATES $10,000 TO A LEGACY FOR LEARNING CORPORATION IN SUPPORT OF MILITARY VETERANS

 

 

VERNON HILLS, Illinois (April 24, 2013) – On behalf of Scotsman Ice Systems, Scotsman Industries has donated $10,000 to support A Legacy for Learning Corporation’s scholarship program. The program provides tuition for unemployed and underemployed military veterans to enroll in a fast-track basic technician training in commercial foodservice equipment repair.

“It is an honor to work with Scotsman Industries and Scotsman Ice Systems to help those who have sacrificed for our country,” said Carol Multack, president and CEO of A Legacy for Learning Corporation. “Through this donation, we can further provide veterans with employment training and opportunities.”

A Legacy for Learning Corporation launched in 2012 and has more than 1,000 partnering organizations that recruit, train and employ veterans throughout the United States.

The scholarship program for A Legacy for Learning provides tuition for unemployed and underemployed U.S. military veterans to enroll in a fast-track basic technician training program for commercial food equipment repair. Every veteran graduate of this program is guaranteed an in-person job interview with a hiring company.
